Do not let a shared interface hide differences

A combined cryptocurrency mining panel can standardize asset identity, location, reporting times, and permissions. It should still preserve algorithm compatibility and device-specific telemetry. An ASIC and a GPU do not become interchangeable because they occupy neighboring cards. Start with the network and exact workload before comparing a headline hashrate.

Define the telemetry your team needs

For ASICs, useful fields may include supported board telemetry, firmware, fans, and restart history. For GPUs, workload state, driver version, per-device settings, and supported memory measurements may matter. Mark unavailable readings honestly. Keep the measurement source and its age visible, and avoid presenting a software estimate as a physical sensor.

Separate mining, payment, and other compute

A platform may settle different workloads in one asset. That does not mean every contributing device directly mines that asset. GPU processing jobs outside proof of work need their own specifications, validation, and data controls. Evaluate a supported operating baseline

Test compatibility before economics, then compare consistent power boundaries and observation periods. Preserve a recovery path for firmware, drivers, and workload dependencies. A lower energy ratio and higher total work are different objectives; neither alone establishes profitability. Document the intended task, tested setup, main cost assumptions, and unresolved limitations before selecting software or committing to equipment.
