01 / CHOOSE A SCENARIO
Change the assumptions.
Equipment assumptions
Electricity · USD per kWh
Gross revenue assumption · USD per TH/s/day
Productive runtime
Pool fee applied to gross revenue
Other modeled operating cost · USD per day
02 / INSPECT THE RESULT
Before equipment, hosting, cooling, repairs, financing, and taxes.
Productive runtime scales both revenue and hashing energy. Zero power is assumed outside that runtime. Other modeled cost is charged for the whole day. Rounding is for display only.
THE FORMULA / NOT A BLACK BOX
Every result has a boundary.
Gross revenue = hashrate × assumed unit revenue × runtime After-fee revenue = gross revenue × (1 − pool fee) Energy = watts ÷ 1,000 × 24 × runtime Energy cost = energy × electricity rate Contribution = after-fee revenue − energy cost − other modeled cost Energy-only break-even rate = (after-fee revenue − other modeled cost) ÷ energy
Use separate algorithm-specific revenue assumptions. Scrypt scenarios treat the stated rate as combined gross revenue; do not add merged-mining revenue again. The 30-day number only multiplies the same daily assumptions by 30.
Power excludes non-device facility energy. No capital costs, hardware degradation, variable network conditions, idle consumption, tax treatment, or resale value are modeled. The zero-cost preset does not mean those expenses disappear from a real operation.

These rows use 200 TH/s, 3,500 W, $0.05 per TH/s/day gross, 95% runtime, a 2% fee, and no other modeled cost.
| Electricity | After-fee revenue | Energy cost | Contribution |
|---|---|---|---|
| $0.05/kWh | $9.31 | $3.99 | $5.32 |
| $0.08/kWh | $9.31 | $6.38 | $2.93 |
| $0.12/kWh | $9.31 | $9.58 | −$0.27 |
| $0.20/kWh | $9.31 | $15.96 | −$6.65 |
