These compact definitions follow the measurement and cost boundaries used in the field guides. For supporting primary documentation, visit the source directory. A term does not replace the exact rules of a device, protocol, pool, or contract.
Accepted work
Work submissions recognized by the receiving pool under its rules. A pool’s accepted-work estimate is different from the miner’s local hashrate display.

Application-specific integrated circuit. In a mining context, specialized hardware supports a particular hashing workload; verify the exact algorithm and device.
